All Day Party!
Joe's first party was on Monday morning with his preschool class at Pinecrest Elementary School. There is nothing quite as good as birthday cupcakes at 10:30 AM. In the afternoon Joe & Emma played with Joe's new toys.

Earth Day
This morning we went to the Harris Nature Center to celebrate Earth Day. Emma rode a pony named Emma. There were plenty of games, crafts, and plantings. Joe's petunia is now transplanted in Emma's garden.

On the road
Emma has finally graduated from a car seat to a booster seat. She is delighted! Since Emma has moved up, Joe is now is Emma's less restrictive car seat. Joe' s new seat allows him to practice yoga while riding in the car (as seen in photo).

Children's Garden
This weekend we visited the indoor children's garden on the MSU campus for our annual spring photo. The garden was filled with butterflies. Spring has finally arrived!

CHICAGO!
Emma and Amy went to Chicago for the midwest American Academy of Religion. We stayed at the Wright Inn in Oak Park. Emma met lost of people including Amy's friends' Martha, Sarah and Patrick (from UNC). Patrick showed us around his new home town, including a stop at the Lincoln Park Zoo. Unfortunately, none of the photos of him are digital--will send them to you Patrick when Emma develops her film! Emma especially loved having dinner in the hotel restaurant with Martha (in photo).
CHICAGO!
We visited the Unity Temple (Unitarian Church) designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. It was a short walk from our hotel. Emma found the secret entrance that people who arrive late to church can use and not disturb the service. She also enjoyed sitting the the FLW chairs!
