Merry Christmas!

Emma woke us up at 2:30 AM yelling "SANTA WAS HERE!!!!!!" We said, "Yes, now go back to bed!" Eventually she fell back asleep and woke to find her brother up and playing with his emergency vehicles (he yells at the people in the cars, "sit down, no pushing!" while he drives them around). Santa brought Joe a guitar and Emma a wiggle racer. It is snowing again. We have the fire on and soon we will be reading all of the new books and playing some new games but mostly we are missing friends and family and wishing everyone a very, merry Christmas.

Christmas Eve

Hanging stockings

Emma gave Joe emergency vehicles

Joe gave Emma "Littlest Pet Shop" (thank goodness)

Chris came home from the hospital on Dec. 23rd in the afternoon! Who knew that a paper cut could end up being so serious? He is on heavy oral antibiotics and his hand is only a little puffy and pink but he has earned the title "Santa Claw" this year. We went to the pageant (Emma & Joe couldn't be in it) and then came home to open a few gifts. Each year we give the kids matching pjs and Emma & Joe open their gifts to each other. Then we eat, hang up the stockings, leave a letter for Santa and cookies and cheese for Santa Mouse and GO TO BED!

Holiday Concert

Tutu, Amy, Emma, Papou

Tutu, Chris, Emma & Papou

After Emma's concert we went to a new bakery for fancy treats. Joe stayed home with the sitter.

Papou on Ice

Classroom visit

Tutu and Papou visited Joe's classroom for book and snack. They read "If you Give a Moose a Muffin."

When we arrived we discovered that Joe has the chicken pox (more good news!). Can you see the spots on his face? He is home for the last week of school. What's the point of vaccinations if the kids still get the pox? What's next, whopping cough?
