100 years!

Last weekend my grandparents, Emma and Joseph DeRogatis, were honored at the 100 year celebration of the funding of Olivet Presbyterian Church.  My grandfather founded the church and was the minister there until the 1950s.

MSU Homecoming Parade

The theme this year was Super Heroes.  Joe's school, Red Cedar, marched in recognition of their teachers who are super heroes.  Each kid was asked to make a sign that said their super hero power or what type of super hero they would be when they grow up.  When I asked Joe what he would be when he grew up, he said. "a man."  So, of course I though his sign would say "superMAN."  At the last minute Joe and I decided on "Super Joe."
