Dedication of a new museum on the MSU campus

This morning Emma and I went to the dedication of the Broad Contemporary Art Museum on the MSU campus.  We heard remarks from the MI governor, a MI senator, the president of MSU, the museum director, a MSU trustee, the donor (Eli Broad) and the architect Zahra Hadid.  The building is gorgeous!  We are so excited to walk through and see the exhibits tomorrow.

Library Helper

This week Joe was the Library Helper for his class.  Here is the job description: 

This student gets the library cart from the library each morning.  We read the schedule for that day of the week.  This student is responsible for going to the classes that have library that day and picking up their library books and delivering them to the library.  We are working on reading teacher's names, finding the classrooms and it reinforces our calendar skills.

Parade

Joe and I marched in the MSU homecoming parade on Friday night.  We marched with his elementary school (Red Cedar), the only one to participate in the parade.  Joe and I held the sign that shows Red Cedar is an official "green" school because of its recycling efforts.

We had a great day with Team Joe at the zoo walk.  Our team had 75 walkers (not all pictured) and we raised over $1000!!!!!  The weather was perfect, the animals were fun, there was lots of food, a raffle, music, blow up slides, and much more.  Our family is so grateful to all the people who showed up and everyone who has supported us through donations.  All of the money raised at this event will go directly to families like ours for activities, advocacy, and therapy.
